One of the most distinctive and most memorable aspects of The Crow is, of course, its groundbreaking soundtrack. It sold over four million copies and exposed many of the bands involved to an international audience on an unprecedented scale. Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, Helmet, My Life With the Thrill Kill Cult, Rollins Band and The Cure (whose track “Burn” became the movie’s main theme) all appeared, amongst others, creating an aggressive, modern backdrop to a new era of the gothic revenge tale.
