I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been a big fan of vampire movies. But when I sat down to write this editorial, ruminating on what I initially thought would be a short list of good ones, I realized there are, in fact, a ton of them: Murnau’s Nosferatu, Near Dark, Martin, Lifeforce, Deathdream, The Lost Boys, Coppola’s Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, The Hunger, Cronenberg’s Rabid, The Last Man on Earth, Blacula, Cronos, Black Sunday, Shadow of the Vampire, Blade II, TV’s Dark Shadows, kinky Eurotic horror such as Vampyres, and campy comedic entries such as Fright Night, Polanski’s The Fearless Vampire Killers and From Dusk Till Dawn. Hell, I even like Tobe Hooper’s Salem’s Lot.
