When I was young, I was fascinated by both dinosaurs and the movies that brought these prehistoric creatures to life, particularly films that featured stop-motion by the legendary Ray Harryhausen. In a standout scene from the Hammer Studios film One Million Years B.C. (1966), a huge pterodactyl swooped down, snatched a buxom cavewoman (played by Raquel Welch), and carried her off.
